Address Field Names

The field titles to all address fields which display on all forms throughout roomMaster can be changed. Delete the field name for Prefix (Title) if you do not want the Prefix field to appear on reservations and guest folio properties.

Global Options

• Use United States State 2 digit Format Check this field if the state field should be 2 positions, uppercase. If this check box is off, the field will display as 25 positions without uppercase.
• Auto Learn and Lookup ZIP/Postal codes Check this field if the system is to learn the city and state for each zipcode that is entered. As the system learns this information, all you have to enter is the ZIP code field and roomMaster will automatically insert the city and state fields. If a ZIP code is entered for the first time, the system will store the city and state fields in an internal database. If this function is turned on, the user should only enter the ZIP code when entering addresses and if the city and state does not appear, they should go back and fill it in.
• Skip to ZIP/Postal code field during entry Check this field to skip the City and State fields when entering a record and go directly to the ZIP/Postal code field for faster entry.

Label Format

• Select the style you wish all addresses to display and print throughout roomMaster. The system will use this format as the standard display for addresses throughout the program.

View Tables

• State/Country Table
• All state and country entries which have been saved in the system will be listed here. This allows items to be selected rather than keyed in when entering a reservation. If there are any spelling errors made by clerks when entering reservations, you can use this screen to correct them so they do not come up automatically.
• ZIP/Postal Code Table
• All zipcode and postal code entries which have been saved in the system will be listed here. This allows city and states to automatically be entered just by entering a zipcode or postal code. Corrections to zipcodes, cities and states can be corrected here.
• Country Table
• A complete list of the 196 countries in the world are included in the country table. This enables a Lookup option to display beside the Country field throughout roomMaster when the Use United States state 2 digit format is turned off.
