Physical Inventory / Move Transactions

The Physical Inventory screen allows you to adjust the quantity in the main location or the store room without using the item maintenance screen. Go to Maintenance > Physical Inventory. Select the location then the item number. The amount you enter will be the new inventory amount. This allows for quick update entry. All physical inventory transactions are recorded in the history tab of the item.

The Move Transaction screen allows you to move inventory from the store room to the main location. Go to Maintenance > Move Transactions. Select the item moved and the amount that was moved. Inventory is subtracted from the store room and added to the main location. All sales done through the Point of Sale are reduced directly and only from the main location. You must move inventory from the store room to the main location, otherwise, you will have negative numbers in the main location. All move transactions are recorded in the history tab.

The Inventory Adjustment option allows you to make corrections to inventory. Go to Maintenance > Inventory Adjustment. Select the location that needs to be adjusted then the item. Enter the quantity, then use the Adjust Type to indicate whether inventory should be increased or reduced. Select the adjust reason using the drop down box.
