Metasearch Channel Setup Guide
Follow the steps below to activate your Metasearch channels and start appearing on platforms like Google Hotel Ads, Tripadvisor, and more.
Before You Begin – Pre-Setup Checklist
Before activating any Metasearch channel, make sure the following are in place:
- Your property is live and publicly listed on the Metasearch platform(s) you intend to activate
- Your property name, address, and phone number in the booking engine match your listings on those platforms exactly
- You have approved initial wallet funding with your account manager (minimum recommended: $100–$500)
- Your account manager has confirmed your wallet has been loaded and is ready
> Why this matters: Metasearch channels will not index properly — or will index with significant delays — if the wallet is empty or if your property data does not exactly match the platform's existing listing.
Step 1 – Navigate to Metasearch
- Log in to your portal
- From the main menu, go to:
Marketing → Metasearch
Step 2 – Enable Your Desired Channel(s)
- You will see a list of available Metasearch channels, which may include:
- Google Hotel Ads
- Tripadvisor
- Trivago
- Select the channel you wish to activate
- Click Enable
- Complete the opt-in confirmation when prompted
- If the channel requires a platform login or authorization step, follow all on-screen instructions through to completion — do not close the window mid-process
Repeat for each channel you wish to activate.> Each channel has its own opt-in flow. Some may require account authorization with the platform, while others activate immediately upon opt-in.
Step 3 – Verify Your Channels Are Active
After completing the opt-in for each channel:
- Return to Marketing → Metasearch
- Confirm each channel's status shows as Enabled
- If any channel shows as incomplete or pending, contact your support team before proceeding
Step 4 – Review Your Budget Settings
- Navigate to:
Marketing → CPC Cockpit (Live)
- Review the following settings and confirm they align with your expectations:
| Setting | What It Controls |
| Target Ad Budget Per Month | The maximum you want to spend per month across active channels |
| Recharge Threshold | The wallet balance level that triggers an automatic top-up |
| Auto-Recharge Amount | How much is loaded each time the threshold is reached |
| Bid Settings | How aggressively you bid per click (manual or auto) |
| Budget Allocation | How budget is distributed across your active channels |
Step 5 – Wait for Indexing
Once a channel is enabled and your wallet is funded, the platform begins the indexing process — mapping your property and displaying your rates to travelers.
| Your Situation | Expected Time to Index |
| Data matches platform listing + wallet funded | 48 – 72 hours |
| Minor data discrepancy | 3 – 7 days |
| Requires manual platform review | 7+ days |
> Indexing timelines may vary by channel. Some platforms index faster than others. You do not need to take any further action during this period
Step 6 – Confirm You Are Live
After the indexing window has passed, verify your property is appearing on each activated channel by searching for your property directly on those platforms and confirming your rates are visible in their price comparison results. If your rates are not showing after the expected timeframe, contact our support team with the channel name and your activation date.
Ongoing Management – What You Can Do Yourself
Once live, you have self-service access to:
- Enable or disable individual channels at any time
- Adjust your Target Ad Budget Per Month
- Adjust bids per channel (if Auto Bid is turned off)
- View spend and balance in the CPC Cockpit
Need to Pause Ads Urgently?
If you need to stop ad delivery immediately across all channels:
- Go to Marketing → CPC Cockpit (Live)
- Set Target Ad Budget Per Month = 0
- Ad delivery will stop immediately across all active channels
