Virtual Terminal

The Virtual Terminal in the roomMaster Payments Gateway Portal enables users to create new transactions or offset existing transactions. The Virtual Terminal is primarily designed for back office adjustments but can be used when transactions need to be processed but an actual POS is not available. The Virtual Terminal will also print cardholder-facing receipts where the cardholder can sign a copy and retain a copy for their records. For more information see Vterm Receipt Settings.

The Virtual Terminal requires the user to have specific access credentials in order to process transactions. The user can also be restricted to performing specific types of transactions within the Virtual Terminal. See the section Managing Users for additional information.

!  TIP:

Processing transactions with the Virtual Terminal bypasses the POS system and will not display on POS reporting. Because of this, accounting and reconciliation procedures need to take into consideration any transactions processed within the Virtual Terminal.
